ACCOMMODATION
BELLA DONNA is situated in the heart of the Hogsback village.
There are three houses available as student accommodation - Hydrangea, Rose and Cairbrie Cottages.
The supermarkets are closely situated as well as a library, laundry and various restaurants.
Students who enroll for the refinement course have the following options
Option 1
Rose Cottage
2 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage with lounge, kitchen, fireplace and braai facilities
This will accommodate 2 x sharing and 1 x single
Students to supply their own linen.
Option 2
Hydrangea Cottage
3 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage with lounge, kitchen, fireplace and braai facilities.
This will accommodate 4 x sharing and 1 single
Students to supply their own linen.
Option 3
Cairbrie Cottage
5 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage with lounge, kitchen, fireplace and braai facilities.
This will accommodate 4 x sharing and 3 singles
Students to supply their own linen
Communal swimming pool at Rose Cottage
Tennis available at Arminel Hotel and Social Bowls and Kings Lodge
RENTAL FEES
There is a 10th month accommodation contract from February to November – The rental fee per person sharing is R1500 per month and the single fee is R1800 per month.
The following services and facilities are included in the rental fees:
- Cleaning services: The rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and social areas are cleaned from Monday to Friday
by the housekeeper – you do your own cleaning over the weekend.
- Dishwashing service: The student’s dishes and cutlery are washed from Mon to Friday. You wash your own dishes over the weekend.
- Parking – Secure parking is available at all three student houses.
- Electricity is included in the rental fee to a maximum of R200 per person per month.
Should the average consumption per month exceed R200 per person the students will be pro-rata held liable for the excess.
- Laundry service: A laundry service (wash and dry) is available twice a week to each student at no extra charge.
- Uncapped ADSL at the school for students to use with consideration.
APPLICATION to stay at BELLA DONNA student houses:
Students who would like to stay in one of the BELLA DONNA student houses are required to apply for admission to the student houses. Admission is subject to a selection process. Students first need to be successfully admitted to the BELLA DONNA school in order to apply for accommodation in the student houses. An application for BELLA DONNA student houses will be e-mailed and posted to students who are successfully selected for the GAP YEAR course.
ROOM ALLOCATION
Room Allocation in BELLA DONNA student houses is done by the BELLA DONNA management team.
This process ensures, as far as practically possible that:
- Students with same cultural backgrounds, interests and hobbies live close together
- English and Afrikaans students are grouped together
